Santa Claus is Coming To Town

That might be one of Austyn's favorite Christmas songs... she sure does like to sing!

Today we saw Santa at Mercy Hospital, and Austyn enjoyed sitting on his lap and smiling!
She talked to him about his reindeer and about what she wanted for Christmas.

Santa: What would you like for Christmas?
Austyn: Presents

Santa: What kind of presents?
Austyn: Big ones!

She sure is something!! :)

While at the mall on Thursday, we saw Santa there too. He didn't have a line of children waiting for him so we were able to just walk in and say Hi.

She gave him a high-five and talked to him about her Elf.

Austyn: I have your Elf at my house.
Santa: Ya, you gotta keep an eye on him, he's a little ornery.

Santa: What do you want for Christmas?
Austyn: Presents

Santa: What do you want in those presents?
Austyn: Toys

She is easy to please apparently.

We will go back this week to get our picture taken with him! :)

Christmas is Coming

Sunday we enjoyed our evening at Silver Dollar City.
It was chilly out but nothing a few fleece blankets and gloves couldn't fix!

(Austyn has on a long sleeve 'thermal' with a zip up jacket, under a hoodie, under another jacket, and she's under two fleece blankets [three layers] ... I'd say she is good!)

We arrived just a few minutes before the musical tree ended its performance. We were not able to catch it again, but will go back again. We didn't make it to Santa's Workshop or Rudolph's Play Area.

We did make it in time for the parade though! Austyn LOVED it.

After the parade we road the sing-a-long train to hear the story of the first Christmas and enjoyed a spin on the carousel.

Gymnastics SuperStar

Tonight, Austyn had her first Preschool Beginner Gymnastics class.

She did really well for the first class without Mommy & Daddy.

She received a blue ribbon for executing her Table Tops correctly and she started learning her routine for her upcoming Tumbling Meet.

Our little girl is growing up and already getting awards and being awesome!

So proud of her!

She started Gymnastics July 8th (missed one night of class) and has learned to do so many flips and tricks, she is a smart cookie!

Go-Karts & Mini Golf

I am sad to admit it, but Austyn got more hole-in-one's than I did.
Although, I'm pretty sure she was cheating.

We took Austyn out to 160-Grand Prix when Chris use to work to have fun with the Go-Karts and play a round of mini golf.

Her and I drove one cart and raced Daddy around the track, and yes, we won! He was too slow for us speed demons. Afterward, Austyn was begging to play a round, so yes, we did. She started out playing with us, putting from the start and waiting her turn. I believe she got a little tired though and decided to place her ball about one foot from the hole and putt from there. Usually, she got a hole-in-one. We are pretty sure she'll be in the PGA Tour one year! (as long as they allow cheating!)

Trick-or-Treat

Let it be known, "Trick-or-Treat" will now be mentioned as "TOT" in the below post ;)

Austyn had a wonderful time with her first neighborhood door to door TOTing.
We went to probably 20 houses in the area and eagerly said TOT!!! She needs to learn a little portion control and how to not take the entire bowl of candy! :) Everyone thought her little scuba diver costume was adorable and I'd have to agree.

We rode around in the stroller, because we couldn't walk in our flippers. This was perfect for her to sit her (heavy) pumpkin in the seat and sit on the foot rest and ride to the next house.

Our after TOT photo, we're some tired scuba divers! Ready to raid the candy bucket and go to sleep.

Happy Halloween!!! :)

We saved the best house for last:

Pumpkins - Pumpkins - Pumpkins

Once again we painted pumpkins this year for Halloween. We will probably be painting until Miss. Austyn can carve her own pumpkin, and wishes to do so. Austyn enjoyed painting more this year than last, and I assume she'll love it more next year.

We had to let our pumpkins dry overnight (which was hard for Austyn) and we had to then wait another day before taking them outside because it was raining all day.

We were finally able to put them outside tonight after giving them a clear-coat spray.

(And Miss. Austyn showing off her flower that sits in Nana & Papaw's yard!)
